Posters are invited for a competition to be held during lunch on the conference day. Posters will be judged by a panel of experts for clarity of content, visual presentation, and relevance. The creator(s) of the best poster will receive a cash prize.

The poster session will provide students with the opportunity to share their research with their peers and the professional community.

Please note that posters should be based on your recent academic research and projects.

Poster abstracts must be submitted to iwb@dal.ca by January 30, 2014.

Also note that poster presenters are required to register for the conference. This will cost only $20, and will include entry to all events, a delicious lunch, and a gift bag.

As part of this year’s conference, we are including a session in which students will present their own papers to the conference attendees. We are inviting graduate students to submit papers on the subjects of information privacy, security, and surveillance. The papers will be reviewed by the IWB executive committee, and the authors of the top four papers will be asked to present their work to the students and professionals in attendance.

This is an excellent opportunity for students to explore the various implementations of their studies, as well as to gain experience in public speaking in the academic and professional milieu.

The papers should be no more than 10 pages in length, and the presentation will be 10 minutes, with a 5 minutes question period to follow.

The deadline to submit papers has been extended to January 10, 2014. Submissions should be sent to iwb@dal.ca
