This year's conference
Pathways, Portals, and Peoples: Managing Information Globally will focus on ideas pertaining to bridging informational divides be they physical, cultural, or digital. We live in a time when globalization's effects on culture and the economy, and concurrent technological developments make management increasingly complicated. Yet it is becoming ever more imperative to manage these increasingly complex systems in a responsible manner. How will we effectively communicate to deal with environmental crisis and economic uncertainty? How can we use information technologies to promote education and social justice? How might we share, protect, and create information across cultural, economic, political, and conceptual divides to the benefit of all peoples? These are just some of the questions that will be explored at IWB 2010.
