The IWB Conference runs two competitions that feature student research:
1) A poster competition
2) A paper competition for the student speaker session
Student Poster Competition
All graduate students are invited to submit an abstract for an academic poster that meets the following criteria:
- Based on recent academic research (within the last two academic years)
- On a topic relating to the field of management
The poster competition provide students with the opportunity to share their research with their peers and the professional community. The competition will be held during the lunch hour on the day of the conference. Posters will be judged by a panel of experts for clarity of content, visual presentation, and relevance. The creator(s) of the best poster will receive a cash prize. Poster dimensions should be 36” x 48”. Poster abstracts must be submitted to email@example.com by midnight on January 20th, 2017. Paper Competition for Student Speaker Session
All graduate students are invited to submit papers on the topic of Digital Governance. Submitted papers will be reviewed by the IWB Conference Committee. The authors of the top three papers will be asked to present their work on the day of the conference, and will receive a cash prize. The papers must address some or all of the following aspects of the conference topic:
- Open data in government
- Citizen engagement and digital governance
- Big data and smart cities
Papers should be 8-10 pages in length. Presentations will be 15 minutes in length, with a 5 minute question period to follow. Papers should be submitted to firstname.lastname@example.org by midnight on January 20th, 2017. Please email us with any questions.
