The Information Without Borders Conference is a student-led initiative by the School of Information Management at Dalhousie University. This one-day event provides a forum for interdisciplinary discussion on a central topic affecting all professions represented at Dalhousie's Faculty of Management.

IWB was designed to: facilitate networking and communication among students, faculty, and professionals; provide a forum for information pertaining to this year's conference topic; promote interaction among schools in the Faculty of Management and other Dalhousie departments; allow students to develop skills; and encourage students to present their current research.

Announcing Stephen Abram as the Keynote Speaker for IWB 2013

Stephen Abram, MLS, is Past-President 2008 of SLA and the past-President of the Ontario and Canadian Library Associations. He has previously worked for the SirsiDynix Institute where he served as Vice-President of Innovation. Currently, he is the Vice-President for Strategic Partnerships and Markets for Cengage Learning (Gale).

Stephen was listed by Library Journal as one of the top 50 people influencing the future of libraries. He has received numerous honours, including the 2011 CLA Outstanding Service to Librarianship Award.
