Poster Session

Any good conference will have a poster session and our IWB Conference is no exception. To submit a written application to enter a poster in contest or for more infromation about this aspect of our conference please contact us at: iwb@dal.ca


Poster Prize

A prize of $100 will be awarded to the best student poster displayed at the conference.


Poster Guidelines

  • Posters must address an aspect of information technology
  • Poster applications must be submitted no later than January 23rd
  • Posters must be no larger than 48 inches by 48 inches
  • Posters can be printed for between $6 and $8 per linear foot in the GIS Centre on the second floor of the Killam Library
  • Poster files are accepted by the GIS Centre saved as powerpoint - and can be emailed to maps@dal.ca
  • Posters take 24 hours to process and the hours of the GIS Centre are 9am-4pm
  • Posters to be brought to the McInnes room either between 8:30 and 9:00 am or between 12:15 and 12:30 on February 16th
  • Entrants must attend their poster during the judging session on the day of the conference from 12:45 - 1:30
  • Entrants must currently be a student of Dalhousie University



The following sample poster was submitted to the 2008 CLA Conference last year by Gregory Hutton who is currently a student in the Dalhousie MLIS program.
